Mount Batur Climbing - Bali Adventure Tour

At 04:00 am we start climbing up from Jati Temple by the edge of Lake Batur through jungle part along the slope of mount Batur . Mount Batur is the active volcanoes, by the height around 1717 meter above see level, erupted first 1917, followed by the next eruption in 1926, 1965 and 2000. Both of which have left a huge crater at the top. With view hot spot / gushing steams, our local guide will show you how to cook banana and egg over these gushing steams for about 15 minutes and then serve as light breakfast. This unique cooking experience with our local guide will be adding your memorable holiday in Bali . From starting point to the top of Mount Batur will normally take about 2,5 - 3 hours trekking.

Watching the magnificent, spectacular sunrise on the peak of the mountain is really unforgettable experience for a life time. In a far distance to the east, Mount Rinjani in Lombok Island adds the overwhelming beauty of the whole experience. Mount Agung is also clearly viewed from the top of Mount Batur . Then we continue for exploring the second crater further down from the eruption of 1963.

The descent is equally enjoyable as there are a few attractions off the beaten track. If lucky enough, we will pass through a small community of monkeys who live in the vicinity of the volcano and the lake. This soft Bali adventure tour is designed to experience the magic of famous Batur volcano and to see the spectacular sunrise from the top.

What should to be prepared?

Along with an alert mind, you should ideally have a relatively good fitness level, as the paths are steep and volcanic rock hard on the feet. Other useful items to bring with you:

• Warm clothes to combat the early morning chill.
• Good hiking shoes, which will make a big difference to your speed and agility during the trek.
• A torch.
• Small pack with plenty of water and some snacks/soft drinks to boost energy levels during the trek. You will be able to buy them at halfway points along the way but be warned: they are extremely expensive.
